The Chronicles of a Gentleman
"The Right Moves For Today's Man"
About (Biography)

Leroy Saunders was born on June 3, 1969 in Harlem, New York. Without the presence of a father, his mother assumed the role of teaching him how to be a man. His mother provided him with a strong sense of street smarts which became essential for him to navigate the streets of Harlem.  Though his upbringing was very strict, as a single parent she was not always successful in keeping her son on the straight and narrow.  Leroy’s mother preserved and he graduated from Louis D. Brandies High School, in the summer of 1987.  In the fall of 1988 he attended Grambling State University. Not having the financial means to continue his education Leroy returned home after one year.

In the summer of 1990, Leroy was arrested and served three months in the Essex County Jail Annex in North Caldwell New Jersey for drug trafficking.  After being released Leroy moved to Long Island and enrolled in the University of Stony Brook. While attending the University of Stony Brook he majored in Business Management and Corporate Finance.  In his freshman year he joined the football team as a walk on and became a starter the following year.  After he graduated he continued to play semi-pro football traveling up and down the east coast for 11 years.

Upon the completion of his college education Leroy worked for several different companies but none satisfied his passion for being an Entrepreneur. Eager to fulfill his dream of owning a business; he began several businesses ranging from a trucking company to a chain of 24 hour childcare facilities.  Even though he had not obtained the financial success he had hoped for, the experiences he received were invaluable. Still focused and determined not to give up; while employed at a Wall Street telecommunications company he started another company by launching a clothing line with several of his long time friends.

In 2005 Leroy left New York to move to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue the dream of owning a home. He purchased a commercial cleaning franchise and began to build his business from the ground up. During his down time from his business Leroy decided to chase his dream of being an author and wrote “The Chronicle’s of a Gentleman”.

Leroy still resides in Atlanta, Georgia with his fiancée and two sons. He has traveled extensively within the United States and outside of the country to Puerto Rico, South America and Europe.  He enjoys eating out and volunteering his time as a little league football coach.

As his first book, The Chronicles of a Gentleman, received wide acclaim and continues to be the focus of many discussions today.  Leroy has been traveling around meeting and greeting all his wonderful fans at book stores across the country.
